APPEARANCE:
Louis is unremarkable in appearance ­ one of the types that would
easily be lost in the crowd in Quebec City. He is not tall, nor short,
not thin nor large. He is quite pale, with short black hair and bright
green eyes.

BACKGROUND
Coming from a somewhat privileged background, firmly in the
upper-middle class of Quebec society, he has not faced much in the way
of adversity. The second child of an activist Liberal Cabinet Minister
in the Quebec National Assembly (NOTE: Name of the provincial
legislature, not a separate state), Ms. Josephine Artois, and a
Montreal-area Anglophone lawyer, John Bernard-Artois (took his wife’s
name on marriage), who amicably divorced two years ago.

Louis is presently study Sociology at the pre-university level of
secondary Education (CEGEP), but both of his parents are lightly
pressing him towards a career in the Quebec Civil Law system.

He is calm, logical, and sometimes a bit too somber and sarcastic for
most of his classmates ­ though there are a few he is openly playful
with. He is obsessed with games of chance, especially cards and has
been honing his talents for years with the help of his friends.

Despite a mild interest in his Aikido lessons, he is frequently
considered by teachers as someone who does not get involved enough and
is not living up to his potential.
