OVERVIEW
Hermina is the hedonistic daughter of Sir Donald Davenport, one of the more
acclaimed entrepreneurs of the day. She is the heiress of the Islington Foods
multinational collossus and Linde's, one of Britain's leading auction houses,
as well as a collection of hodge-podge ventures her father is currently involved
in, particularly in software and telecommunications. She studies business mostly
via distance education, coming in for lecture courses every other semester or
so, and lives most of her life off on a yacht where she can lounge freely away
from the media-based aggrevation generated by her father's fortunes.
APPEARANCE
Gifted with natural beauty and a lifestyle that allows her to augment it, Hermina
flaunts a very fairy-tale princess appearance, as is demanded of her by society
and her father's public relations department. Like her mother, Hermina is small
and slender, inheriting an elfin beauty that, if she had been taller, would
have entitled her to so-called 'supermodel status'. Hermina wears what she likes,
one of the few freedoms she's been allowed to keep, and therefore keeps a wardrobe
as well equiped to suit her erratic tastes as she is able without being too
risque (which would result in her losing the right to dress as she will). On
her yacht, she is almost constantly in a swimsuit and slippers, with maybe some
dyed batik cloths for fashion. She has rich, shoulder-length auburn hair that
she wears loose and is painstakingly kept photogenic by the PR staff whenever
on dry land.
PERSONALITY
When interaction with others is not required of her, Hermina tends to shy away
from people. Being forced into being sociable at functions by her father's PR
staff has burnt away any enjoyment she might once have had in dealing with new
people. Instead, Hermina keeps a tight, secular group of friends, venting to
them how uninspiring and restricting it is being famous and advising them against
it. She adhores the roles she's made to adopt when dealing with the media -
devoted daughter, diligent student or hip, trendy heiress, with some mentally
vacant 'slab of meat' tidbits tossed in 'because'. The PR staff just keep insisting,
and even had the gall to threaten her with her inheritence, so she complied.
As far as she's concerned, though, the two dimensional publicity stunts are
insulting and beneath her and, if it didn't affect her inheritence, she'd rebel
against it in an instant. Terminally bored with her gala lifestyle, Hermina
continually seeks other avenues of entertainment that don't run the risk of
being ruined completely by the paparazzi or the weight of the Davonport name.
Thus far her favourite indulgence is her yacht, as it can physically remove
her from the prying eye of the media.
